Canadian Black Book’s Best Retained Value Awards recognize vehicles that retain the highest percentage of their original manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) after four years. For 2021, the CBB program analyzed the model year 2017 vehicles in 23 different categories, plus three Overall Brand categories.

- Overall Brand Award: SUV / Truck – Toyota (5th consecutive year)
- Compact Car – Toyota Prius V (4th consecutive year)
- Full-Size Car – Toyota Avalon (5th consecutive year)
- Small Pick-Up – Toyota Tacoma (12th consecutive year)
- Full-Size Pick-Up – Toyota Tundra
- Mid-Size Luxury Crossover/SUV – Lexus GX460
- Near-Luxury Car – Lexus IS Series
